Selsdon is situated on the southern border of the London Borough of Croydon with two large well maintained woods, Littleheath and Selsdon Woods along with Selsdon Recreation Ground. There are two golf courses locally – Croham Hurst and Farleigh.

Selsdon is ideal for families with a choice of school and the High Street offers a number of shops, restaurants, Library, Post Office, Community Centre and several churches.

In 2023 the ‘Birch Selsdon’ opened occupying the former ‘Selsdon Park Hotel’ site set within 200 acres of green space. The hotel provides two restaurants from Michelin-starred chef Lee Westcott, three bars, creative workshops including pottery and painting, an Art Deco Lido, Wellness Space and co-working space along with one of London’s largest re-wilding projects.
